  Hi, I’m Brenna, the founder and maker behind Wise Willow Botanicals. My connection to plants and the natural world has been a steady thread throughout my life. I feel most grounded outdoors, taking in the rhythms and offerings of the earth. Though I grew up in the Southwest, my path eventually led me to the Midwest for college. Today, I call Libertyville, Illinois, just north of Chicago, home.

I’ve always been a hands-on creator. Over the years, that has taken many forms, from sewing and knitting to crocheting blankets, experimenting with small-batch bath and body goods, and tending gardens once I finally had a few pots of my own. Each new skill deepened my appreciation for making things slowly and intentionally. A free soapmaking class at my local library became a turning point, leading first to soaps, then lip balms, and eventually to a broader exploration of herbal crafting. A foraging class later opened an entirely new door, reconnecting me more deeply to the plants themselves and their traditional uses.

In hindsight, I realize I was being drawn toward herbalism long before I had a name for it. Alongside that pull came a growing desire to be more connected to my community and to offer something genuinely thoughtful and useful. Wise Willow Botanicals grew from that intention, creating simple, plant-based body care rooted in tradition, respect for nature, and everyday practicality. My hope is that these small-batch botanicals help bring a sense of care, grounding, and connection into daily routines.
